Yokeman is a free service provided to all users with the means of accessing it. We cannot guarantee the availibility, stability, or high-level security of this service. We reserve the right to change or terminate any account for any reason with no prior notice. That said, we will do all in our power to kep this a stable, reliable service. Some degree of user cooperation is kindly requested; if you do not follow our guidelines, and end up with a messed up account, we may fix it at our convenience. Maybe.

WHY DO YOU NEED MY EMAIL ADDRESS?

Providing an email address is optional. We are only asking for this in case you forget your password and we have to email it to you. We may also email you about important issues having to do with your account or our service. We will not give out your address to anyone, or spam your inbox.

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS LOGGING IN...

This may happen if your browser doesn't support or isn't currently set up to accept cookies. You should go to your browser's options and change this before you can use this service.

WHAT CAN I DO ON THIS SITE?

Once you register and log in, you should see a message telling you to add some categories for your links by clicking EDIT. So go ahead, try it out! Add categories such as "movies", "music", "personal", "friends", etc., and then add some links to them. Play around with the features, such as category color and whether a link should be launched in a new window. Also you can make quick notes to yourself... so read on about that.

WHAT ARE NOTES?

On the main page, below all your categories, there is some space for you to enter quick notes to yourself. Once you click SAVE, these are stored in your account. If you have no use for this, you can also turn the notes off by clicking EDIT / OPTIONS. While you're there, change the notepaper color! One thing you should notice about the notes is that they can be 255 characters in length (about 6 lines). If you type more than that, everything after the 255th character will be cut off.

I GET AN ERROR WHEN I CLICK ON A LINK I ADDED!

Make sure you've entered a valid URL, starting with 'http://'. We don't check for this ourselves, as you may want to add email addresses starting with 'mailto:', local disk addresses, newsgroups....

HOW DO I DELETE A LINK OR A CATEGORY?

Go to EDIT, and click EDIT next to the link or category name. Then click to delete it.

I FORGOT MY PASSWORD!

Click here and we will send your password to the email address you entered when you registered.
